Brookwood High School Student Starts Program At Vance Library
December 5, 2022
Brookwood High School Student, Daniel Williams, has started a program at the Vance Library, in which he helps the elderly adapt to use of technology.
Williams’ program started when he was searching for volunteer opportunities around the Brookwood and Vance area. His mom recommended that he ask the manager of the Vance Library, Mary Edith Tingle, whom he has known for awhile, about volunteer hours. The two talked and decided that he would provide technological help for the local elderly. Williams helps teach how to use phones, iPads, computers, as well as social media accounts. He says that this service program has been very gratifying for him.
Office hours for Williams are on Saturdays from nine a.m. to eleven a.m.

My great-nephew is truly awesome. I live in South Alabama and he is just a phone call away to help me with my computer problems.
